Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in the work of the Foundation for Change.  Volunteers are incorporated into our program by becoming part of BOARD COMMITTEES and SEASONAL TEAMS.  Before completing the Volunteer Application, please review:

Volunteer Job Descriptions

Board Committees are sub-committees of the Board of Directors and work with staff to lead and organize the ongoing work of the Foundation for Change.   Board Committees meet monthly and engage in work outside of meetings to advance their overall work.  Members of Board Committees should expect to volunteer between 5 and 10 hours per month and are asked to make a financial donation to the Foundation for Change – at a level appropriate to each individual’s capacity to give.

• The Board Development Committee is responsible for cultivating prospective Board and Board Committee members and their relationship to the Foundation’s mission, operations and staff.

• The Communications Committee collaborates with staff in raising the profile of the Foundation for Change through enhancement of external communications (websites, newsletters, public relations, social media, etc.)

• The Finance Committee is responsible for the overall financial management of the Foundation, including a detailed review of the annual budget prior to action by the Board.

• The Fund Development Committee is responsible for working with staff to develop an overall strategic plan for funding the Foundation’s mission and operations.

• The  Funds and Programs Committee is responsible for convening Community Funding Panels and bringing recommendations for funding to the Board.

Seasonal Teams engage in projects that require more intensive engagement through a project of shorter duration.  Members of seasonal teams should expect to volunteer as many as five hours per week for projects that may vary from several weeks to several months.

• Community Funding Panels are convened by the Funds and Programs Committee to review grant applications

• Changemaker Event Committee is convened annually to plan the event

• Host Committees are convened periodically to sell sponsorships, advertisements and tickets for Foundation fundraisers.
