I am the Resource Development Manager for the Foundation for Change, responsible for fostering relationships between the Foundation and members of the greater San Diego region who are committed to social change.
I have extensive experience in the nonprofit sector, specifically in philanthropy with expertise in fund-raising, grant writing, and donor relations. I worked with UC San Diego’s School of International Relations and Pacific Studies (IR/PS), The Nature Conservancy and the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) in Washington, DC. While in graduate school, I founded and managed a student-run consultant program with the International Rescue Committee (IRC), serving the refugee community in San Diego. I was also a consultant for a sustainable development initiative in a rural fishing village in Baja California.
I received my master’s in Pacific International Affairs (MPIA) with a focus on international development/nonprofit management from IR/PS at UC San Diego and received a dual degree in psychology and Spanish literature from UCLA. Being a San Diego resident, I strive to be an active participant in fostering social change that reflects the full spectrum of cultural diversity in Southern California and Baja California.
