Dear Friends: 

The year 2009 was a good one for the Foundation for Change.

Which is not to say it was easy.

Like every other non-profit organization, we had to re-order our priorities, trim our budget and ask sacrifices of our small staff.

Still – and remarkably, if I do say so – we are setting new milestones. In 2009:

• we awarded more in grant dollars than in any preceding year;
• we secured over $300,000 from major funding partners;
• we saw our “top household donor” figure continue to grow (see the chart below).

All this thanks to the generosity and commitment of people like you.

I am excited about the future of the Foundation for Change, and am pleased to be on this journey with you.

WAYS TO GIVE

BY CHECK. Mail your check to Foundation for Change, 3758 30th Street, San Diego, CA  92104.

BY MONTHLY DEBIT. Call us to set up automatic debits from a checking, savings or credit card account. It’s convenient and hassle-free, and helps spread your gift over time.

BY PLEDGE. Call us to set up your own payment schedule for any amount.

THROUGH A GIFT OF STOCKS OR BONDS. Transferring stock to the Foundation for Change is easy. You receive a tax deduction for the full market value and avoid capital gains tax on the increased value.

BY DESIGNATING A GIFT. Does your employer offer a charitable giving program?  Ask them to name the Foundation for Change as the recipient of your gifts.

AS A MEMORIAL OR TRIBUTE. Give your own gift in honor of a special person – or ask friends and family to make a gift to the Foundation for Change when you celebrate a special occasion in your life.

AS A BEQUEST. By including the Foundation for Change in your will you can create a lasting legacy for social justice. You can also name the Foundation for Change as a recipient of all or part of a life insurance policy, IRA or qualified retirement plan.

AS A PLANNED GIFT. Instruments such as charitable remainder trusts and lead trusts provide financial security for you and your family, while also benefitting the Foundation for Change.
