Beginning in 2008 the Foundation for Change began to go “beyond the grant,” organizing its work around campaigns – like justice in the wake of natural disaster (Fires Fund 2007-2008), the health of immigrant workers (Worker Health Justice, 2009-2010), and civic participation (Census Fund 2010 and Redistricting Fund 2011). In this context we consider grants awarded as just one component of more complex work, through which we seek to strengthen leaders, organizations and networks.

The Foundation for Change is now organizing its work within three major initiatives: Democracy for All, Health for All and Equality for All. Under these three banners, we seek to partner with organizations, whether as funding partners, as organizing allies, or as grantees. Here are a few of our grantee partners in recent years:

La Asociación de Jornaleros de San Diego
La Asociación de Jornaleros de San Diego (AJSD) was founded in August, 2008 in Vista California to respond to the needs of day laborers in North County San Diego. To learn more download the Jornaleros pdf.

Nile Sisters

Nile Sisters Development Initiative

Chilpancingo

Environmental Health Coalition - Chilpancingo Youth Group
